The weekend kicks off on Saturday, January 13, with the Observance Day Parade that begins @ 10:00 am and marches down Hwy. 17 through Darien. Entry fee for churches and businesses is $80 with unlimited vehicles; walking group is $15 per person; single vehicle, $10; golf carts, $15, floats, $20; horse club, $50: unlimited; motorcycle and club cars, $100, unlimited; individual bikes, $10. Entry deadline is no later than Wednesday, January 10th. Applications for the parade and/or vendors are available at The Darien News and the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center at the outlet mall, as well as the Chamber’s Facebook page. Following the parade, a program will be held @ Inverness Square on Martin Luther King Drive in Darien. Then on Monday, January, 15th a breakfast will be held at Todd-Grant Elementary School Cafeteria beginning @ 9:00 am, followed by the Observance day Program in the school gymnasium.
